A new, just for you back pack filled with the paper, pencils, notebooks, binders and the many additional school supplies students need for a successful school year, but these items are expensive! Murphy’s Backpacks works with in-need students and schools to provide them with the school supplies they need to support a successful academic year. Since our start, Murphy’s Backpacks has been able to provide more than 250 Chicago students with winter coats, hats, gloves so that they would not have to choose between staying home from school or going into the cold unprepared. The need for warm clothing and clean uniforms was larger than originally recognized. Murphy’s Backpacks, together with board member Cris Persico, created, “ Frenchie’s Closet” to honor Cris’s daughter, Frenchie in order to fill this need. Frenchie Persico was a fashionista with big dreams of opening her own clothing store, “New Attitude”. While cancer ultimately stole Frenchie at age ten, it was no match for her courage and compassion for others. Each classroom is as unique as the teacher and students that fill it. Right after graduation, he attended World University’s School of Dentistry. Before opening Keene Dental in 1994, he worked for free clinics and some of the finest practices in the District. He is part of the 123 Dental Association and stays up-to-date on the latest dental discoveries.
